Alex Ovechkin returns to practice with Capitals
ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Alex Ovechkin is practicing again with the Washington Capitals after taking a week off to recover from an undisclosed injury.
Ovechkin was back on the ice Monday and said he was “ready to go” for Tuesday night's game against Carolina.
Coach Bruce Boudreau is more cautious, saying Ovechkin skated well and may be back by the end of the week.
Ovechkin has missed three games with the injury, which Boudreau has described as a “nagging ailment.” The Capitals decided to sit him so he could be healthy for the playoffs.
