AP Source: Giants QB Manning welcomes daughter
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Eli Manning is a daddy.
A friend of the family says the New York Giants quarterback's wife gave birth to a daughter on Monday.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the person is not authorized to speak for Eli or Abby Manning.
ESPN reported that Abby Manning gave birth to a 7 pounds, 4 ounce girl, who was named Ava.
Neither Tom Condon, Manning's agent, nor Archie Manning, Eli's father, returned telephone calls left by The Associated Press seeking comment.
