Rondo scratched with finger injury
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Boston Celtics scratched point guard Rajon Rondo from the game against Minnesota on Sunday because of a strained right pinky finger.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers says the injury has bothered him for much of the season. Rondo was hit on the hand in practice on Saturday to aggravate it. He is day-to-day and it is unclear if he will be ready to play on Monday against Indiana.
Delonte West was put in the starting lineup.
The Timberwolves sat forward Kevin Love for the third straight game because of a strained left groin. Love missed the team's recent two-game road trip, but was hoping a few days of rest would have him ready to face the Celtics.
Anthony Randolph started his third straight game. He averaged 27.5 points and 13 rebounds in his last two starts.
