No hamstring tear for Bobcats top scorer Jackson
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Charlotte Bobcats top scorer Stephen Jackson will be listed as day to day after an MRI revealed no tear in his left hamstring.
Jackson underwent tests Thursday, a day after failing to record a field goal after the first quarter in a loss to the Indiana Pacers while hobbled by the injury.
Jackson has missed four games over the past month while being slowed by the strained hamstring. He aggravated the injury in shootaround Wednesday before Charlotte's loss left the Bobcats three games behind the Pacers for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Forward Tyrus Thomas is also day to day after bruising ribs in the loss to Indiana.
The Bobcats visit Boston on Friday.
