Hawks' Joe Johnson hurts right thumb
ATLANTA (AP) - Hawks All-Star guard Joe Johnson has left the team's game against New Jersey with a strained right thumb.
Johnson was injured early in the third quarter of Saturday night's game when reaching for a loose ball. He was escorted to the locker room for X-rays before returning to the bench later in the quarter.
Johnson, Atlanta's leading scorer, had ice on his hand as he watched the game from the bench.
He had 12 points when he was injured.
