Cavs G Baron Davis out again with back spasms
CLEVELAND (AP) - Cavaliers guard Baron Davis remains sidelined with back spasms, and will not play against the New Jersey Nets.
Davis has played in only four of 13 possible games since he was acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers in a Feb. 24 trade. Cavs coach Byron Scott said it's possible Davis could make his first start for Cleveland on Friday night against Detroit if he can make it through a Thursday practice without any trouble.
Before his back began bothering him, Davis missed time with a sore left knee and following the death of his grandmother.
Davis is averaging 14.3 points in his four games for Cleveland.
