CAR--NASCAR-BURTON
PELL CITY, Ala. - Sure, Jeff Burton can talk racing since that's been his career for a couple of decades. That doesn't mean the NASCAR driver is a one-dimensional star athlete isolated from the real world. He's also fluent in current events, a fan of C-SPAN and as concerned about the state of the economy as the typical working Joe who makes up a big chunk of NASCAR's fan base.

CAR--NASCAR-VISIBLE VICKERS
UNDATED - Brian Vickers is kind of a computer geek. Just don't expect him to Twitter or update his Facebook status during a race. “I just don't want people to know where I'm at that bad,” the driver of the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota says. Besides, Vickers figures people will know where to find him on Sundays: toward the front of a Sprint Cup race.

CAR--F1-SEASON PREVIEW
MADRID - Stung by the economic recession and forced to cut costs, Formula One heads into Sunday's season-opening Australian Grand Prix with a wide-open field and no clear title favorite.

CAR--SUPERCROSS DUEL
UNDATED - Heading to Toronto this week for Saturday night's AMA Supercross race at the Rogers Centre, last year's champion Chad Reed leads the 2007 series winner James Stewart by just 11 points. But the competition is a lot closer than just a few points with five races to go. To make this duel even more fun, Reed and Stewart have swapped rides this year, with Reed going to Suzuki and Stewart to Yamaha. Add the fact that the 27-year-old Reed, from Australia, and 23-year-old Florida native Stewart don't seem to like each other very much, and you have one of the most interesting championship competitions around.
