Rangers CF Borbon scratched with elbow tightness

SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Texas Rangers center fielder Julio Borbon has been scratched from the lineup with tightness in his left elbow.

Borbon, with his elbow bandaged, struggled in the batting cage before Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs. He was replaced in the lineup by David Murphy.

The injury comes one day after Borbon was removed in the second inning of a game against Colorado for what Texas manager Ron Washington said was a “teachable moment.”

Borbon is hitting .375 this spring with five stolen bases, but also has committed five errors in 19 games.
