Ramirez not in starting lineup
BOSTON (AP) -Chicago's Manny Ramirez is getting a day off and is not in the starting lineup for the White Sox' series finale against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen decided to give Ramirez Sunday off to keep him fresh after he played both games of a doubleheader sweep over the Red Sox on Saturday.
Ramirez, acquired on waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday, went 3 for 8 in the day-nighter on Saturday. In the first game, he had two singles that set up two runs.
It's the second uniform he's been in against his former team this season.
In June, Ramirez went 5 for 12 with a solo homer for the Dodgers.
