Penske adds 3rd new sponsor to IndyCar team
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Roger Penske's team has added Izod as a new sponsor on its three-car IndyCar team.
Team officials say the deal will give Izod the primary sponsorship on the No. 6 car driven by Ryan Briscoe for the Indianapolis 500 and other races, but will not cover the entire season.
It's the third major announcement in less than a week, following deals with Meijer and Shell last week.
The deal also means that Penske's three cars will not carry the traditional color scheme at May's Indy 500, the race Penske has won more than any other owner in IndyCar history.
