Village People's Derby choice: Mucho Macho Man
Village People have discovered a horse to root for in the Kentucky Derby - Mucho Macho Man, naturally.
The disco divas who turned “Macho Man” into a party-song classic have become big fans of Mucho Macho Man, a 3-year-old colt favored to win the $1 million Louisiana Derby on Saturday in his final prep race before the Kentucky Derby on May 7.
Mucho Macho Man moves up to No. 3 in The Associated Press' latest Run to the Roses Top 10 list of Derby contenders. Undefeated Uncle Mo remains No. 1, with The Factor cruising to No. 2 following a wire-to-wire romp in the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park over the weekend.
Mucho Macho Man' co-owner Patti Reeves says the group already has sent her “Macho Man” T-shirts and an autographed picture.
