Miles Rules wins at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Miles Rules led gate-to-wire to win Thursday's $57,200 Blarney Stone Purse for California-bred 3-year-old fillies by 13/4 lengths at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Joel Rosario, Miles Rules ran six furlongs in 1:08.98 and paid $7, $4.60 and $3 as the 5-2 favorite in her first race after a six-month layoff.

Subpoena the Dress returned $4.40 and $3, while Going for a Spin was another 21/4 lengths back in third and paid $2.80 to show.

The victory, worth $33,600, increased Miles Rules' career earnings to $70,280, with two wins in three starts.
