Formula One is set to abide by WADA doping code

SAKHIR, Bahrain (AP) -The governing body of motor sports says Formula One is on course to comply with WADA's anti-doping code.

Deputy president for sport Graham Stoker says the ruling body is in discussions with the World Anti-Doping Agency.

He adds that Formula One would agree to all out-of-competition testing regulations and says the transition would be “relatively painless.” The governing group already has doping controls in line with WADA standards.

Other major sports bodies are in step with the WADA code, and Stoker says Formula One was “conspicuous by its absence.”
