RB Hunter no faster at Oklahoma State pro day
STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter hoped to improve his NFL draft stock at Oklahoma State's pro day with a quicker time in the 40-yard dash.
Hunter ran approximately the same time Wednesday as he had at the NFL combine - all in the 4.5-second range. He seemed disappointed when informed of the times, but an Atlanta Falcons scout told him it was a good performance considering the chilly, windy conditions at the outdoor workout at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Hunter was one of 15 players who worked out for 22 NFL scouts. Defensive tackle Shane Jarka provided one of the highlights with a personal-best 34 lifts of a 225-pound weight on the bench press.
