Leach deposition begins in lawsuit vs Texas Tech
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -Former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach is giving sworn testimony in his lawsuit against the school over his firing.
Leach didn't answer reporters' questions Friday as he walked into a small basement conference room in his attorney's office building in Lubbock, Texas.
The university fired Leach on Dec. 30, two days after suspending him amid allegations he mistreated a player who had a concussion. Adam James, the son of ESPN analyst and former NFL player Craig James, said his coach twice ordered him to stand for hours while confined in a dark place during practice.
Leach has denied he mistreated James. His lawsuit includes allegations of libel and slander and breach of contract.
