FDU removes interim tag from coach Vetrone
TEANECK, N.J. (AP) -Fairleigh Dickinson removed the interim tag from Greg Vetrone and promoted him to head men's basketball coach.
The school announced the move Tuesday.
Vetrone was an assistant coach under Tom Green in 2008-09. He was named interim coach when Green was fired last June after 26 years at FDU.
Vetrone guided the Knights to an 11-21 record this season, but the Knights started off 0-10.
He was one of four candidates for the job, including former New Jersey Nets assistant Tom Barrise.
